Bodlák, Daniel ; Jelen, Karel (advisor) ; Říha, Michal (referee) ; Jíra, Aleš (referee)
1/1 škola: UNIVERZITA KARLOVA V PRAZE, Fakulta tělesné výchovy a sportu disertační práce: "Trends and forecasts in the technology of artificial disc replacement" autor: Ing. Daniel Bodlák datum: prosinec 2023 Abstract: The aim of the work was the study of current and new directions and trends in intervertebral disc replacement technology, a critical evaluation of current methods using implants for the treatment of degenerative disc disease, as well as a forecast of further development. The work also contains the related results of the collaboration on the optimization of the total "ball and socket" lumbar disc replacement within the project TA01010860 "Solving the problem of intervertebral disc replacement using modern knowledge, engineering methods and progressive technologies". In the part of the dissertation, focused on theoretical starting points, the attention is paid first to the intervertebral disc itself and its various aspects, from anatomy, through biomechanics and degenerative diseases, to the issue of implants for its partial or even total replacement. Subsequently, current trends and progressive methods of treatment are processed. The results section begins with a description of the methods used and then presents the results themselves, both from literature research and experimental work....
Feasibility of the lumbar area disc hernition conservative therapy in the view of a physiotherapist
Reichová, Eva ; Horká, Bohumila (advisor) ; Němečková, Michaela (referee)
Author: Eva Reichová Institution: Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic Title: Feasibility of Lumbar Area Disc Herniation Conservative Therapy in the View of Physiotherapist Supervisor: Mgr. Bohumila Horká Number of pages: 94 Year of defence: 2012 Keywords: Hernia, intervertebral disc, lumbr spine, vertebra, radicular syndrome The bachelor's thesis deals with possibilities of the kinesiotherapy in the lumbar disk hernia, which is one of the most frequent degenerative diseases of the spine. Theoretical part deals with (1) the spine anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics, (2) ethiology and diagnostics of the disc hernia, and (3) feasibility of its conservative therapy using McKenzie's method, activation of the deep stabilizing system of the spine, and reflex locomotion method according Vojta. I the practical part, two case reports of the lumbar disk hernia are discussed with emphasis on the entrance medical and physiotherapeutic checkup, short-term therapeutic plan, therapy, exit checkup, and long-term therapeutic plan.
Case report of physiotherapeutic care about patient with diagnosis radicular syndrome of L5
Horáková, Klára ; Žáková, Hana (advisor) ; Bednářová, Šárka (referee)
Title of bachelor's thesis: Case report of physiotherapeutic care about patient with diagnosis radicular syndrome of L5 Objects: Getting theoretical knowlege about functional antomy, kinesiology, biomechanics of axial systém and pathophysiology of degenrative spine disorders Methods: General part contains theoretical informations about structural disorders of spine with degenrative ethiology. The special part of this work is made as case study of patient with diagnosis radicular syndrome of L5. Results: Improvement of stabilizing funtions, correction of muscle dybalation and correction of antalgic posture. Conclusion: Indication of hysiotherapeutic care in the case of patient with radicular syndrome was contributing in sense of health impovement and prevention of relapse of this disorder. Key words: axial system, intervertebral disc, degeneration of intervertebral disc, pain, vertebrogenic radicular syndrome.
Case study: Physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of lumbar and other intervertebral discs disease with radiculopathy
Gottwaldová, Lucie ; Melli, Klára (advisor) ; Bednářová, Šárka (referee)
Title of bachelor thesis: Case study: Physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of lumbar and other intervertebral discs disease with radiculopathy Aims: To summarize the theoretical knowledge about functional anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology of axial system, the pathophysiology of degenerative vertebral disease and about vertebrogenic radicular syndromes its diagnosis and therapy. Concept and execution of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with a subsequent evaluation of its effect. Methods: This thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and special. The theoretical part is processed in the form of research and includes theoretical knowledge regarding the etiology, diagnosis and treatment of vertebrogenic radicular syndromes. The special part is processed in the form of case study. Results: The chosen therapy had a positive effect on the patient. Increased strength of paretic muscles of left lower limb, improved the dynamics of the spine, adjusted muscle imbalances in the area of pelvic girdle, improved posture and gait stereotype. Key words: axial system, intervertebral disc, degeneration of intervertebral disc, vertebrogenic radicular syndrome, physiotherapy
